Rising medical malpractice costs don’t just threaten access to care – they threaten economic stability across New Mexico. This is especially the case in rural communities, where hospitals are both major employers and essential providers.

This isn’t about politics. Healthcare is nonpartisan – every New Mexican will need access to healthcare at some point. Medical malpractice reform is a shared, community-backed effort to strengthen healthcare in New Mexico. It is a bipartisan priority to protect access to the care New Mexicans need and deserve.
